Jos van der Kooy is not only a passionate concert organist and choral director. He has also enjoyed teaching the art of organ and improvisation for over 40 years. Today, the lessons take place at the keyboards of Westerkerk (Amsterdam), St Bavo's (Haarlem) or the Haarlem Philharmonic. Van der Kooy teaches his pupils how to play as independent minds. He challenges them to develop their own founded views on interpretation and playing techniques.
